The biggest game of the Bundesliga season pits unbeaten rivals Bayern Munich, led by Ballon d’Or winner Harry Kane, against Borussia Dortmund in a crunch clash at the Allianz Arena. Both sides have been impressive this campaign, but can Dortmund prove that they are realistic challengers to the Bavarian juggernauts?
Live updates:
21:00 CET – That’s all from us tonight after a pulsating derby that keeps everyone interested in the Bundesliga.
If you have missed anything from tonight, you can catch up with our report or scroll back through to keep up with our live blog.
We will be back tomorrow with a huge Premier League clash at Anfield, where Liverpool take on Arsenal from 17:30 CET.

20:50 CET –Â One concern for the league leaders, Bayern, will be the injuries they have picked up this evening.
Both Ismael Saibari and Serge Gnabry were forced off in the first half, whilst Michael Olise also limped off late on, even calling for the change before being taken off.
Three of their starting attacking quartet could all be out for some time – nothing is confirmed yet – but it doesn’t get easier for them given they are back in action on Tuesday against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.
20:45 CET –Â As the dust settles after the 2-2 draw, let’s take a look at the standings in the Bundesliga.
Bayern remain top of the standings, but both sides are locked on 18 points after eight games.
The big winner could be Freiburg, who after their 2-1 win at Augsburg earlier today means they have gained two points on the top two.

20:41 CET – Daniel Svensson was given the tough job of keeping Michael Olise quiet in Der Klassiker, and he stuck to his task well, picking up a 7.4 rating using our system.
Speaking to the host broadcaster, he said of Fabio Silva’s late goal: “Really important goal, it was a tough game of course, overall I think we played a good game.
When asked about marking the Frenchman, he explained: “Always a tough game against him (Olise), he’s a tough player. Overall, it was a game I enjoyed; I felt quite comfortable in there.
“We don’t want to concede two goals in a game; it’s difficult to win when you concede two. We have defended well this season, and we will try and keep it up.

20:35 CET – Let’s bring you some instant reaction as Alphonso Davies shares his thoughts with the broadcasters.
He said: “Obviously, playing at home, we want to win every game; we didn’t get the job done.
“Overall, we’re glad we played pretty well, and we move on to the next one.
“It’s tough; we knew they were going to be pushing. They score a lot of late goals, and we knew that. It’s unfortunate we conceded that late goal.”

20:30 CET –Â All over at the Allianz Arena, and it ends 2-2 between Bayern and Borussia Dortmund after a pulsating affair that had so much drama and intrigue.
Both teams, ultimately, remain unbeaten in the Bundesliga, and it keeps the title race bubbling along nicely.

20:25 CET – DORTMUND LEVEL AGAIN! Fabio Silva makes it 2-2 in stoppage time.
Drama in Bavaria! The ball breaks to the Portuguese forward, and he slams it into the bottom corner. His teammates engulf him in the shadow of the travelling fans. A huge moment, potentially, in the Bundesliga this season.
20:16 CET –Â Less than 10 minutes to go at the Allianz Arena, and Borussia Dortmund have rolled the dice to try and get back into the game. Jobe Bellingham and substitute Fabio Silva have efforts saved; can they find a late leveller?
20:08 CET – How has Harry Kane missed that? His second huge chance of the game – the Englishman is 10 yards out with the goal at his mercy, and he hits the frame of the goal for the second time tonight. Is there such a thing as a Ballon d’Or curse?
20:06 CET –Â This was the same scoreline when the teams met in the German Super Cup earlier this year, but it does feel like a different game. Borussia Dortmund continue to get round the back of Bayern, but have been unable to find a true opening.Â
20:00 CET – Level for six minutes, Bayern hit back through Dayot Upamecano!
This Klassiker is at fever pitch now. Harry Kane is left alone at the back post, a crime, and he heads back across goal for the French centre-back to tap home. Dortmund have it all to do again.

19:54 CET – Like in the first half, it’s that quick change of momentum that brings a goal, and it’s Serhou Guirassy!
Deadly in the box, the striker gets the ball out of his feet quickly and fires into the bottom corner to make it 1-1 – life for Borussia Dortmund with 30 minutes to play.

19:50 CET – Harry Kane is human! He hits the bar with a penalty to keep it at just 1-0 to Bayern.
After a Felix Nmecha handball, the Ballon d’Or winner steps up from 12 yards and misses just for the second time in 27 attempts from the spot. Could this be a huge momentum swing in this clash?
19:43 CET – Goalscorer Konrad Laimer in the thick of the action again as he forces a good save from Gregor Kobel.Â
He’s made three saves so far, two of those from big chances, and you expect him to have to make a few more if his team can get back into the game. Currently, he’s on an 8.1 rating using our system.
19:39 CET – Back underway for the second half in Bavaria, with no changes at the break for either side. Remember, Bayern have already made two enforced substitutions in the first half.
Here is the momentum from the opening 45 minutes.

19:22 CET – Half-time at the Allianz Arena, and Bayern have a slender lead thanks to that goal from Konrad Laimer. Despite being behind, Borussia Dortmund have looked assured as Jobe Bellingham has been their main threat from midfield.
He has had a goal disallowed, whilst Serhou Guirassy has struggled to get into the contest.
They will want more out of their star man in the second half.

19:10 CET – It didn’t last long! Bayern strike straight away through Konrad Laimer.
The full-back is slipped through, and although Gregor Kobel makes a good first save, the ball falls back to Laimer, and he makes no mistake with the rebound.
First blood to the hosts, can Dortmund respond well?

19:07 CET –Â Jobe Bellingham has his first-ever goal for Dortmund – no he doesn’t!
It’s a mess at the back from Bayern, who lose the ball inside their own six-yard box. It falls to the Englishman, who puts it home, but Carney Chukwuemeka is literally in the face of goalkeeper Jonas Urbig, colliding with him, and VAR rightly chalks it off. The referee confirms it is offside, but it could have been a foul too – take your pick.

We have 10 minutes to play in the first half of Der Klassiker, and we are still goalless…
19:02 CET – Well, this is getting worrying for the hosts. Just minutes after one change, they are forced into another as Serge Gnabry limps off to be replaced by Josip Stanisic.

18:57 CET –Â Brave from Gregor Kobel to keep it goalless! He dives at the feet of Ismael Saibari to stop him from scoring, and it leaves the Moroccan worse off.
It’s bad enough that he has been forced off, and it will be Nathaniel Brown to replace him. An interesting choice, given Lennart Karl is also someone who could slot into the attack.

18:49 CET – The best spell of pressure is coming from the visitors. As they settle, they are moving the ball around well as Joey Veerman starts to get more touches. But, Bayern are always dangerous, as Konrad Laimer puts in a tempting cross that Dortmund just about deal with. It’s an intense Klassiker so far.
18:42 CET – The first scare for Borussia Dortmund as Michael Olise hits the post with a snapshot. Remember the visitors have the best defensive record in the league so far, and they are using a compact block to try and restrict them, whilst also pressing high.Â
18:40 CET –Â Although we are just a few minutes in, a couple of things to note. First, Jobe Bellingham has a difficult evening ahead after getting booked for bringing down Alphonso Davies on the edge of the box. Nothing comes from the dangerous free kick from Harry Kane, who seems to be playing behind Ismael Saibari in a number 10 position. Expect those two to switch a lot during this encounter.
18:32 CET – Underway in Der Klassiker – safe to say we are in for an interesting night.
18:26 CET –Â The players are on the pitch, apart from one. Harry Kane arrives alone with his Ballon d’Or trophy to a cacophony of noise inside the Allianz Arena. His family are also on the pitch to commemorate the moment; can he add another win tonight?
He says to the fans: “I am extremely proud of being a Bayern plan, and I hope there is more success to come.”
18:20 CET – Let’s check in with the bookmakers before we begin, and they are saying that the home side are the favourites, as you’d expect, with the draw the least favoured outcome. Both sides are unbeaten coming into this clash, and with good defensive records, this could be a little cagey to begin with.
18:06 CET –Â Both teams are going through their final warm-ups ahead of kick-off at 18:30 CET, and it is also a big night for Bayern assistant manager Aaron Danks.
He leads the side once again in Vincent Kompany’s absence, after the Belgian was rushed to hospital last week. He is recovering well, thankfully, but Danks will be under the microscope in such a huge fixture. In his pre-match presser, the Englishman said: “There is a difference (in coaching). Vinnie did not want his assistant coaches to be mini-Vinnies. We are all different, but we complement each other.”
The big test will come if his side faces a deficit at any point late on; what will he feel confident doing to change the game around?
17:32 CET –Â The lineups are in for Der Klassiker as Harry Kane starts for the first time in a Bayern shirt since winning the Ballon d’Or on Monday.Â
He is supported by the ever-dependable Michael Olise, whilst Ismael Saibari gets the nod after a goal and an assist in the cup.
Joshua Kimmich also returns to the starting lineup, having missed the last three games due to a family bereavement.
Meanwhile, Dortmund go with Serhou Guirassy up front, whilst Konstantinos Karetsas is on the bench for the first time in four games.

16:42 CET –Â As we wait for team news from Bavaria, let’s take a look back at the two sides’ exploits in midweek.
Both were victorious in the DFB Pokal, with Bayern playing a strong team against Magdeburg to win 6-1, whilst Dortmund had a tougher time against Werder Bremen, needing a 93rd-minute winner from Marcel Sabitzer to progress.
16:15 CET –Â In recent times, it has been a derby dominated by Bayern.
They have got the better of Dortmund of late, unbeaten in the last four Bundesliga matches between the two teams. A win for Dortmund would be their first against their rival in the league since March 2024. Bayern during that period have outscored Dortmund with eight goals for and six against.

16:00 CET – Welcome to Flashscore’s live coverage of a Der Klassiker between Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga! The fierce rivals have started their seasons in terrific form, unbeaten in their opening seven games with five wins and two draws.
Bayern have been winning on and off the field, with Harry Kane clinching the Ballon d’Or on Monday in London, after a 2025/26 campaign that saw him score a staggering 73 goals in all competitions for club and country.

He joined Gerd Muller (1970), Franz Beckenbauer (1972 & 1976) and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge (1980 & 1981) as the only Bayern players to be crowned the best player in the world, and he will be brimming with confidence for this big game.
Meanwhile, Dortmund will be desperate to make a statement on Halloween and show that they are capable of ending Bayern’s reign of terror. They have won 13 of the last 14 Bundesliga titles, with their last crown coming back in 2012.Â

Kick-off is at 18:30 CET, and we’ll be posting the team news and live updates throughout the match right here.
